Starting out: the Beginner Dermal Fillers, Foundation Fillers and Ultimate Beginners courses need no injecting experience. You do need a medical qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy.
Already injecting: the Advanced Dermal Fillers course is for practitioners with foundation filler training and clinical injecting experience, ready for cannula work, full-face contouring and the midface.
Healthcare professionals: the VTCT Level 7 dermal filler certificate is an advanced, Ofqual-regulated qualification. The VTCT Skills Level 7 qualifications are advanced, with strict entry criteria. Typical minimum requirements include registration on a UK healthcare regulator register such as the NMC, GMC, GDC, GPhC or HCPC (or an equivalent qualification pathway), together with prior anatomy and physiology and injectables experience. Completing a Level 7 qualification does not automatically grant eligibility to practise every procedure independently, obtain insurance, prescribe medicines or meet future licensing requirements. Individual eligibility is confirmed before enrolment.
