This Accessibility Statement explains how we work to make our digital and physical experience usable by everyone. We treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment, not a one off project, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
01Our commitment
We design, build, and maintain dermasense.co.uk with accessibility in mind. We aim to make the website perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users of assistive technologies, mobile devices, keyboards, and screen readers.
02Standards we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA. The guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and easier to use for everyone.
03Accessibility features
- Semantic HTML structure with landmark regions for screen reader navigation;
- Logical heading hierarchy (H1 to H3) on every content page;
- Descriptive link text and ARIA labels where needed;
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background;
- Focus indicators that remain visible at every interactive element;
- Forms with associated labels and explicit error messages;
- Images carry alternative text describing their content or function;
- Responsive layout that reflows down to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling;
- Site can be operated by keyboard alone, including the booking flow;
- No content auto plays with sound; motion is reduced when the operating system signals "prefers reduced motion".
04Known issues
We are actively improving the following areas. If any of these prevents you from completing a task, please contact us and we will help directly.
- Some third party embeds (booking widgets, video) may not yet meet WCAG 2.2 AA in full. We rely on the providers to remedy these and track their accessibility roadmaps.
- Older blog posts may include images without descriptive alternative text. We are working through the archive.
- PDF documents are provided in alternative formats on request.
05In clinic accessibility
Our clinic is located at 15 Station Parade, Cockfosters, EN4 0DL, London, United Kingdom. We are committed to making in person visits accessible.
- Step free access is available at the main entrance.
- Treatment rooms are spacious enough for assistance dogs and accompanying carers.
- We can arrange longer consultation slots for clients who need more time, with no extra charge.
- We can communicate in writing, by email, by phone, or by a combination, according to your preference.
- If you have a hidden disability, please let us know in advance so we can prepare the room and our team.
If any of these arrangements do not work for you, please contact us in advance so we can make alternative arrangements.

08Statement preparation
This statement was prepared on 17 May 2026 and is reviewed annually. It is based on an internal review of the site against WCAG 2.2 AA combined with feedback from users and tooling such as Lighthouse, Axe, and manual screen reader testing.
