3rd August 2010 - Music Sale
Lot 300. The Doors, Jim Morrison. A yellow sheet of lined A4 paper with an original handwritten part lyrics for the song LA Woman. This studio/gig copy was written & used by Morrison while recording their 1971 album LA Woman, this being the band's sixth and last studio album before his death in July 1971. Written in blue pen with Biro doodles to left side. Initialled J - M / Doors - Morrison and entitle LA Woman. Formally exhibited in the Hard Rock Cafe, New York. Originally purchased by the vendor from Russ Estes who was a friend of Jim's and Manager of the Birds in the 60's this comes with a letter from Russ Estes & The Hard Rock cafe. SOLD FOR £14,950.00
Lot 196 The Beatles, A unique fans personal album collection containing 50+ unreleased colour & black & white photos. Featuring pictures of John, Ringo & George in there houses and gardens with partners and children. These were taken by the vendor & here friend on their visits to the lads homes in the South Of England in the 1960s. Also a Fab magazine page showing the houses, plus an envelope with John, George & Ringo's address written by the vendor & obtained from Paul on their visit to his London home. SOLD WITH COPYRIGHT FOR £7,560.00
